This Persian 2'X2' handmade antique rug RC-973 was woven more than 50 years ago and is considered an antique and unique artwork that can be an excellent investment for the future.
As you know, handmade carpets are more delicate and sensitive than machine-made carpets. However, handmade rugs are in many cases more resistant than machine-made carpets.
The maintenance of antique handmade carpets is essential, and they should be kept under more special conditions than other carpets, even ordinary handmade carpets.
The moth is one of the enemies of handmade carpets. Moth larvae, in particular, have a very high destructive power for antique carpets. And all antique handmade rugs should be kept in a moth-free environment. Also, be washed and defrosted at regular intervals. Also, use the anti-moth fabrics to maintain these carpets.
It is recommended to wash the antique carpet every five years, and therefore you need to do staining and regularly sweeping during these years.

The answer to this question is definitely yes. Not only are you able to sweep an old rug, but it needs to be done because the ingress of dust between the rugs is one of the main causes of rotting, which you can do by vacuuming.
